The Mission

Financial Markets (FM) is the Banks gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM in Competitive Pricing area we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) asset which consists of multiple components that enable realtime and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. XVA PFE Value at Risk Expected Shortfall Bilateral Margining predeal derivatives Pricing which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates credits foreign exchange). This asset is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia Europe and Americas with aprox. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam Brussels Bucharest and Singapore) cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.

IPA DMD main purpose is to become the single source of meaningful and complete derived & transformed market data for risk calculations and valuations in FM> while ensuring timely delivery and easily accessible data.

As IT Business Analyst you will work closely with business users and your squad providing analysis and support for different technical and functional deliveries. Our team is driven by a customer perspective and fosters a diverse and contemporary workplace.

Your day to day

Even if youll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our offices garden your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. The following will be the main responsibilities of the role:

• You are the linking pin between the DMDs Business or IT stakeholders and the development team.

• You identify analyze and specify business/ IT requirements and translate them into tothepoint user stories or functional specifications/design. You do this based upon requirements from Business IT or Customer Journey experts

• Clearly formulate and write product requirements data requirements and user stories including explicit acceptance criteria for engineers to meet (test & validate)

• Enable the Product Owner to manage the work stream its deliverables and the timelines and status updates.

• Define data quality rules and define ways to measures this with the team to proactively identify potential impact on our stakeholders

• Test whether developed software meets the requirements and help improving the automated (regression) test frameworks

• Support users with investigations on business flows and defects that they encounter during testing

• Present delivered stories to stakeholders during sprint reviews

• Facilitate knowledge sharing between squad members

• Continuously improve the delivery process by identifying inefficiencies and taking initiative to drive proposals for remediation

• Maintain functional and technical documentation up to date and easily available within the area

What youll bring to the team

• Experience:

  • 3 years as Business Analyst in Financial Markets and/or Treasury

• Skills / knowledge:

  • Mandatory:

    • Experience with market data and financial markets products

    • Indepth experience with data query languages (SQL)

    • Experience with data analysis tooling such Python/Pandas Excel

    • Experienced in Agile/Scrum way of working

    • Indepth experience in refinement and translation of user requirements

    • Is innovative to be able to convert market developments and customer feedback in his/her field of expertise into vision and strategy for WB Tech & ING

    • Strong business sense combined with the ability to research new topics to develop insights and drive actionable results.

    • Strong analytical and literacy skills with attention to details

    • You are communicative accurate and able to work with challenging deadlines

    • You are proactive and able to work in crossborder international teams

    • Affinity with IT and technology

  • Nice to have:

    • Experience in risk management

    • Experience with financial markets regulations

    • Familiarity with BABOK Guide (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge)

    • CBAP certification (Certified Business Analysis Professional)

    • Experience with tooling for creating diagrams (MS Visio Draw)

• Foreign languages: English (excellent level)

• Education: Completed education at Bachelor/Master level in Economics Finance or Computer Science and the like
