Job Description

Job Title: IT Business Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Overview:

Our client a growing FinTech company is seeking 2 IT Business Analysts to join their team. These Business Analysts should have a focus in application development projects ideally with some mortgage industry knowledge.

These roles are 100% remote working EST hours. This position must convert after 6 months with no sponsorship.

Summary:

The Business Analyst supports the organization by analyzing requirements identifying opportunities and recommending solutions that enhance business operations and meet organizational objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess current practices and functions collect information and analyze industry trends to align with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate existing business structures and operational functions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and provide insights for new projects and programs based on organizational needs.
  • Analyze and study existing systems and products to recommend enhancements.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders; analyze summarize and present findings in technical reports.
  • Communicate insights requirements and plans effectively to cross-functional teams and management.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as needed.
  • Handle moderately complex issues independently; escalate more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Collect document and communicate business requirements to development teams.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of business operations and industry practices.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of business structures and operational processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Access Word Outlook); advanced proficiency in Excel required.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and resolution skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Practical knowledge of the job area obtained through advanced education and hands-on experience.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree from a Four (4) year College or University
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience required.
  • Mortgage industry knowledge is a plus.
