Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity in our Health & Safety Team based in France. The role will lead Environmental Health and Safety activities to strive to Zero accidents all activities aiming at improving Environmental and Health and Safety performance Group industry policies to enhance customer satisfaction and improve process efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Alongside Group EHS Director and Hub Directors be responsible for Environment Health Safety practices and results
  • Ensures H&S bestinclass industrial standards are achieved in the framework of Calderys Safety System.
  • Contribute to EH&S systems updates and functionally manage EH&S managers on site and hubs.
  • Ensures industrial operations are run in compliance with local environmental regulations bestin class industry practices and Calderys guidelines
  • Key duties will include the implementation of Environmental initiatives in a first 6 months timeframe such as:
    • Support the consistency of the Environmental Impact Assessment across the company
    • Lead the deployment of Calderys regulatory compliance tool (RedOnLine)
    • Participate to our sustainability journey by being involved in the different initiatives
    • Support the Environmental data collection improvement
    • Participate to the definition of the Environmental target for the company
  • Create and animate an internal and external network for best practices benchmark
  • In case of any accident / incident participate to the investigation and root cause analysis and defines in collaboration with the site and hub the corrective action plans
  • Collaborates with Hub Operation managers Site managers and EHS managers from Region to exchange best practices
  • Create an external Environmental network to ease benchmark
  • Performs Environment H&S site gap analysis with Calderys guidelines and local regulatory EHS standards
  • Key interfaces: ensures tight coordination with Hub Operation Managers and local EHS teams build relationships across the Region to ensure compliance and promote a proactive environment and health & safety culture
  • You will serve as an influential member of the different leadership teams who impact decision making and take an active role in promoting crosssite initiatives team work and collaboration across site functions.
  • Reporting systems: Review monthly all informations reported ensuring correct recording assigned responsibilities deadlines and proper event closing develop measure analyze and communicate EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics. Build EHS performance reports .
  • Env. Risk management / Reduction of waste / pollution
  • Near misses & Safety culture evolution (maturity matrix)
  • Compliance Vs Protocols / Health assessment / Chemicals

Requirements

  • Engineer or equivalent
  • English mandatory
  • Worked in an international / multicultural scope
  • 5 years experience in EHS system implementation and EHS management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Knowledgeable with SAI 360 (Evotix) is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 30 of his/her time
  • Environmental knowledge
  • Strong capacity to lead the change and impact behaviors
  • Capacity to understand whats trigger behaviors depending on typology of people
  • Well versed in local and industrial EHS regulations

Responsibilities
  • Stay current with local state and federal health and safety regulations and ensure the organizations compliance; interpret and communicate relevant regulations to internal stakeholders ensuring adherence across all company operations; develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees contractors and visitors; foster a culture of safety awareness by organizing workshops seminars and informational sessions; collaborate with crossfunctional teams including POE Legal and Operations to ensure alignment of health and safety efforts with overall business goals

  • Develop and implement organizationwide health and safety policies procedures and guidelines; create and manage safety programs including but not limited to hazard identification risk assessment emergency response and incident investigation

  • Lead and oversee the investigation of accidents near misses and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions; maintain incident records and statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities equipment and processes to identify noncompliance and potential hazards; prepare and present reports on health and safety performance including trends key metrics and recommendations to senior management

  • Collaborate with departments to identify potential health and safety hazards and assess associated risks; develop strategies and initiatives to mitigate identified risks and prevent workplace accidents and incidents

  • Liaise with regulatory agencies external auditors and other relevant stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and ensure compliance; ensure accurate and timely maintenance of OSHA logs and records; prepare and submit required OSHA corporate and customer prequalification reports and documentation

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in health and safety practices and implement effective solutions; monitor the effectiveness of implemented safety initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans ensuring employees are wellinformed about evacuation procedures and emergency contacts







Qualifications
  • Requires four 4 to six 6 years of experience in health and safety management preferably in a corporate or industrial setting
  • Requires Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or related field
  • Indepth knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing safety management software and tools.
  • Ability to lead and influence crossfunctional teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of promoting a culture of safety and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel up to 70 of the time.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus.
