VIP is seeking a fullstack web Software Engineer 3 to join our KARMA Development Team. KARMA is a customer relationship management solution a sales activity tracker a route planner a survey tool and much more! The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for creating userfriendly applications and takes great pride in their work. This person must be willing to rethink and suggest improvements for current applications as well as contribute to the development of new projects. They must be comfortable working closely with a small team and have the flexibility to work on clearlydefined as well as abstract tasks to achieve a shared goal.
The successful candidate will have practical programming experience knowledge of programming best practices and have the ability to work within a large legacy code base. As a Software Engineer you will work with your team to improve the features and stability of existing applications. You will be assigned programming changes identified by our customers which can include enhancements fixes to bugs customization of software or interface development.
Position Type: Full Time Hybrid will report to our office headquarters in Colchester VT.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently complete wellscoped components from a larger project in a reasonable time frame
- Design and implement medium to large features across multiple platforms independently
- Perform complex programming tasks within a large enterprise environment
- Collaborate with your team to design plan implement and test solutions as well as with other departments to understand application development needs
- Communicate well with team members and external teams
- Follow enhance and contribute to established team processes
- Continuously seek selfimprovement and learning
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in software development ideally fullstack web development
- Extensive knowledge of programming fundamentalsalgorithms data structures design patterns and paradigms
- SQL database experience
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React Angular Vue.js etc. HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with backend frameworks (C# Java Spring Kotlin)
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education training and experience
