OVERVIEW
Vertex is currently accepting applications for a Project Coordinator Liability Management. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Project Managers with the of daytoday project activities. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an entrylevel professional aspiring to build a career in environmental consulting by first developing a strong foundation in the core functions of the Liability Management team. We are looking for a highly motivated and detailoriented individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fastpaced environment demonstrates a proactive approach to problemsolving and is eager to contribute to the success of our projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Project Managers with budget tracking and financial reporting to ensure project deliverables align with financial objectives.
- Oversee the completion of field deliverables ensuring documentation is accurate complete and adheres to Vertex standards.
- Ensure the proper use of Vertexs project management tool (Matidor) for all project planning and reporting deliverables.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication with stakeholders including clients vendors and internal teams.
- Monitor task progress maintain project trackers and promptly report resource limitations or potential bottlenecks to Project Managers.
- Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation for both internal teams and thirdparty vendors to optimize project efficiency.
- Support Project Managers with data entry and cost tracking within Vertexs client management software (e.g. Siteview).
- Collaborate with the technical team to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance efficiencies.
- Maintain proper document control and file management practices to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- 13 years of experience in consulting with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Science Engineering Environmental Studies or a related field.
- Experience in the energy sector or environmental consulting is considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Some experience with budget tracking financial reporting or accounting is considered an asset.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software or data entry systems (e.g. Siteview) is considered an asset.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support project decisionmaking.
- Adaptability and problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
LOCATION
- This position will be based out of the Calgary and/or Sherwood Park Alberta areas
