Job Description

The Lead Behavior Interventionist is responsible for delivering homebased behavior interventions and overseeing support services for adults with developmental disabilities living independently within the community. In addition to delivering direct support this role involves coordinating training offering ongoing guidance to behavior technicians and assisting with behavior assessments and data analysis all under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or a qualified Licensed Clinician and the Regional Program Manager. This role requires expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles excellent patient care skills and strong data collection and analysis abilities.

What You will Do

    • Implement behavior strategies and interventions targeting activities of daily living household tasks and recreational goals in clients homes and communities as directed by the supervising BCBA.
    • Develop and implement tracking systems for behavior goals and assess client progress through data analysis.
    • Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing individualized behavior or service plans under the supervision of the BCBA.
    • Provide clinical direction and training to behavior technicians and other staff ensuring effective implementation of behavior intervention plans.
    • Ensure that clinical services meet supervisory requirements and parent training hours when applicable.
    • Regularly monitor and assess the performance of direct support staff to ensure the fidelity of intervention implementation.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records including special incident reports and progress updates.
    • Communicate client progress and program goals effectively to clients families team members and external stakeholders.
    • Participate in regular meetings with the BCBA to satisfy minimum supervision requirements and also to review client progress data collection and behavioral goals.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners to enhance client service opportunities.
    • Other relevant job duties may be assigned.

What We Need from You

    • Bachelors degree in a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in designing and/or implementing behavior modification interventions under the ABA scope.
    • An Active RBT/BCAT or similar certification.
    • At least 2 years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
    • Strong ability to take initiative problemsolve and exercise sound judgment.
    • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
    • Experience working collaboratively with consumers team members and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in GSuite email Microsoft Word Excel and other program tracking and recordkeeping systems.
    • Clean criminal background.
    • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
    • Must have reliable transportation a valid California drivers license insurable driving
    • record and meet minimum state auto insurance requirements.
    • Ability to perform First Aid/CPR in emergency situations.
    • Ability to assist clients during seizures as needed.
    • Capable of pushing pulling and lifting up to 60 lbs.
