Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for managing key accounting functions including financial reporting reconciliations and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate and partnership tax provisions as well as sales tax research setup and compliance. This position requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger transactions.

Assist in the monthend and yearend closing processes.

Manage corporate and partnership tax provisions ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Conduct sales tax research register for necessary jurisdictions and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax filings.

Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing financial insights and variance analysis.

Assist in preparing taxrelated documentation and reports for corporate and partnership entities.

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend adjustments as needed.

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency in financial reporting and tax compliance.

Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Experience with corporate and partnership tax provisions.

Proficiency in sales tax research setup and compliance.

Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage Intacct a plus) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

4 years of experience in accounting tax or a related field.

EDUCATION FORMAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

4 years of relevant accounting experience in a private company or public accounting.

This role is mostly sedentary and requires the ability to sit for long periods each day. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate orally. The employee uses hands and fingers to type handle and reach. The ability to operate office machinery such as computer phone copier printer etc in the commission of daily duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
