POSITION TITLE: Trust Officer
A successful person in this role will demonstrate their technical strengths and contribute to the Laurel Trust team in the daytoday client operations without any requirement or expectation for client development. The role requires great attention to detail to comply with all policies procedures and trust accounting practices. RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW:
- Work directly with the Presidentto support him in fiduciary decisions and client relationship responsibilities.
- Provide administration of trust accounts in adherence with trust instruments governing documents of related entities and Laurel Trusts policies and procedures.
- Assemble and review new account preacceptance materials including trust instruments portfolio holdings partnership agreements KYC information and trust accounting records.
- Review and execute cash transfers investment actions market value updates beneficiary distributions and other trust accounting transactions.
- Prepare annual account administrative reviews.
- Prepare and review meeting materials for the Trust Investment and Distribution Committees.
- Effectively manage multiple ongoing projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment and follow up with the President.
- Communicate and coordinate with external client advisors including investment advisers accountants attorneys and family offices.
- Adhere to all compliance procedures and reinforce a strong compliance culture with the team.
- Actively suggest improvements to procedures and policies.
- Other duties as the needs of the office evolve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of trust administration or planning experience with a focus on worldclass service for high networth clients $1MM level clientele).
- College graduate with additional certification/credential required (i.e. JD /MBA/CTFA/CFP/CFA).
- Technically strong with demonstrated experience with sophisticated trust and asset structures.
- Demonstrated experience of providing thoughtful client solutions.
- Flexible and receptive to contribute in a variety of ways that often arise in a small office environment that may not correlate to the candidates technical skillset.
- Motivated selfstarter with the ability to work independently.
- Aptitude for utilizing technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with ultrahigh net worth multigenerational $50MM families with complicated assets and sophisticated trust structures.
- Juris Doctorate.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Economics.
- Tax planning or return preparation experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
This position will require the individual to authorize a personal background check with the Nevada Financial Institutions Division.
This job requires the employee to sit for approximately 67 hours a day and use a keyboard and mouse for repetitive motion. There will be >15 lbs. to lift push or pull in this job.
