Job Description
The Department of Philosophy at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for one 1 ninemonth limitedterm position beginning September 1 2025 at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor for the 202526 academic year. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The applicant should have a PhD or the dissertation very near completion. Teaching load: three courses per term (a total of six courses). The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to teach a combination of the following: Introductory Philosophy Philosophy of Science Formal Logic Critical Thinking Biomedical Ethics and one additional philosophy course. See A strong familiarity with the history of philosophy is an asset. Availability to teach courses inperson is required. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
