The business is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Head of Finance to add value. You will work closely with the business and drive performance analyses planning and control. You are a structured analytical and hands-on professional with a strong interest in the commercial and financial aspects of the growing and fascinating business. What youll do

• Drive financial performance for our sales entity in Netherlands
• Contribute to all areas of the business and provide a strong financial leadership
• Liaise with external and internal auditors and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls
• Responsible for statutory financial statements P/L and balance sheet
• High attention on sales margins (profits) operational growth (sales volumes) operating cost and cash flow
• Bottom line responsibility for the markets with transparency towards global functions
• Governance and Control secure execution and improvement of internal controls set by our global IC team
• Working closely with the local operational teams with strategic and day-to-day business. Back-up to Senior Business Controller when needed
• Close cooperation with Polestar global operational teams other finance and accounting functions as well as our Shared-service center
• Responsible for budget forecast monthly reporting and FLUX reviews with the support of the local team
• Business partner for implementation of our new ERP-system. Ensuring market specific requirements and legislation to secure implementation
• Business cases drive/support structured process
• Support management with dashboards KPIs and ad-hoc analyses
• High focus on improving data quality analyses and transparency
• Drive problem solving and identify process gaps and areas for optimization and automation

Who you are

To be a great fit for this role we believe that youre structured self-motivated data-driven and have a quantitative problem-solving approach. Youre collaborative flexible have an open working style and an ability to establish trust and credibility. You have a strong interest in the commercial and financial aspects of the business.

Furthermore you have:

• Experience from working in US listed environment including SOX
• Controlling background but strong knowledge of IFRS US GAAP local GAAP local reporting requirements and regulations
• Experience in reviewing complex contracts and evaluating the accounting implications and presenting your conclusions/supporting documents in detail to stakeholders
• A track record of successful implementation of projects (ERP) and leading the financial teams in a fast and changing environment
• Passion for people you like to form long term relationships to solve complex problems through collaboration and like to be the spider in the web
• Passion for data and analytics and you like analyzing data to find business opportunities and risks
• Ideally you have experience within automotive retail or online sales operations.
• If you have been part of a local sales organization its a plus
• Have minimum 5-7 years work experience with similar responsibilities and tasks
• Have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance or the equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.

Youll be working from the Netherlands Polestar office in Beesd. You are fluent in Dutch but you will also be part of a cross-functional and international team with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
