Job Description

The Vice President of Community Culture and Institutional Climate provides transformative leadership in fostering an inclusive equitable and welcoming environment for all students faculty staff and community members. This position aligns institutional efforts with the colleges mission values and strategic goals ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations including Affirmative Action Title IX and other civil rights laws. This role serves as the College Diversity Officer 1B.1 and 1B.3 Designated Officer Affirmative Action Officer Bias Incident Response Lead and Deputy Title IX Coordinator.

Salary Range: $93713 to $149940 per year

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience in access equity and inclusion.
  • Proven experience in policy compliance and institutional climate improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead training and development programs.
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action Title IX and other applicable state and federal labor and employment laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a related field.
  • Experience in higher education administration.
  • Familiarity with National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) standards.
  • Experience working in unionized and nonunionized environments.
  • Certified or trained as Title IX Coordinator Investigator Decision Maker or other applicable role by a certifying entity (ATIXA Minn State etc..

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota States vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

A job offer may be contingent upon successfully passing a background check. The background check may consist of the following components:
