What youll do:
We are looking for an experienced IT Security & Infrastructure Consultant to join our team on a parttime basis. In this role you will help drive digital transformation within the organization while ensuring the integrity and security of our IT systems. You will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Protect systems from cyber threats secure data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- System Architecture & Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable reliable IT environments suited to operational needs.
- API Integration & Software Ecosystems: Connect tools and platforms through APIs to enable automation and streamline workflows.
- Facility Security & Compliance: Ensure IT infrastructure meets security requirements for obtaining and maintaining an FCL including secure system setup data protection and access controls in compliance with CMMC NIST 800171 and NISP.
- IT Strategy & Digital Transformation: Develop a longterm technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
- Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Design systems and processes to ensure operations can quickly resume after disruptions or data loss.
- Compliance & IT Policy Development: Establish internal IT policies and procedures to meet industry regulations and reduce risk.
- IT Procurement & Lifecycle Management: Advise on hardware/software purchases and manage the full lifecycle from deployment to decommissioning.
- Technology Audits & Assessments: Evaluate existing systems processes and tools to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science information technology cybersecurity or a related field.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity frameworks risk management and regulatory compliance particularly in the defense and government contracting sectors.
- Expertise in securing IT infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements including FCL CMMC NIST 800171 and NISP.
- Strong technical background combined with the ability to provide strategic guidance in complex environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM CISA Security AWS Solutions Architect ITIL 4 preferred.
Location: DC area preferred or must have the ability to commute/travel to our HQ in Arlington VA.
Hours: This is a parttime position
