Job Description
OBJECTIVE
Performs general accounting functions assists in maintaining and consolidating financial statements prepares and records financial transactions accurately and assists with budget preparation. Ensures compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs all functions in a manner that upholds the reputation and highquality standards of the company; acts ethically in all internal and external business activities; establishes and contributes to a supportive creative enthusiastic and cooperative working environment; complies with all company policies and standards.
- Records transactions into the general ledger and prepares the financial statements.
- Ensures the accuracy of transactions and accounts. Reconciles balance sheet accounts revenue and expense accounts reviews and verifies closing contact statements and makes correcting entries as authorized.
- Calculates depreciation expense accounts allocations and sales commission (and accounts as assigned) and journalizes expenses.
- Prepares audit worksheets as required.
- Assist with preparing monthly project reports compiling detailed revenue and expense reports and preparing analysis worksheets to compare the budget to the prior year.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly reporting package.
- Prepares state and federal tax schedules.
- Supports the preparation of cost center and administrative detail budgets.
- Maintains and reconciles Fixed Asset accounting system; monitors assets in services and generates depreciation and amortization schedule. Reconciles assets to the general ledger.
- Records transactions maintains cash receipts and sales journal.
- Performs a variety of jobrelated duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from a recognized college or university preferred.
- CPA Preferred
- At least three 3 years of experience in accounting analysis in a real estaterelated field.
- Knowledge of standard and/or fundamental accounting principles methods and applications.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports statements and projections.
- Account balances and reconciling skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Detailoriented with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
