Job Description
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant with a background in the construction field We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our fast-paced and dynamic air conditioning company located in Pompano Beach.
Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Fort Lauderdale FL
Salary: $75000 - $100000 annually
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting with proven experience in high-demand environments and a history of career stability. This role requires expertise in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting systems.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements reports and budgets.
- Oversee job costing and ensure compliance with construction-specific accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Collaborate with project managers to track expenses and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor cash flow forecast financial needs and provide strategic financial advice.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of audits and other financial reviews.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with at least 1 years in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles including job costing.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-demand work environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
