Join a well-established Ohio public-accounting practice that delivers comprehensive tax preparation tax planning bookkeeping and advisory services to individuals closely held businesses trusts and estates.
Serve as a client-facing CPA handling a broad book of small-business and high-net-worth individual accounts while helping the firm expand resources such as newsletters financial calculators and other client-education tools.
Leverage your public-practice background to manage multiple engagements drive tax-minimization strategies and mentor junior staff in a collaborative service-oriented environment.
This is a key succession-track opening with clear growth into senior leadership for the right professional.
Tax Compliance Prepare and review federal Ohio CAT RITA and multi-state returns for entities and individuals; ensure timely e-filing and minimal exposure.
Tax Planning & Projections Develop year-round strategies (e.g. IRA conversions health-care credits estimated tax calculations) that optimize clients after-tax positions.
Client Advisory Act as primary contact for a diverse client base; explain complex tax matters in plain language and recommend actionable solutions.
Accounting & Bookkeeping Oversight Supervise staff on monthly closes reconciliations QuickBooks file maintenance payroll and sales-tax filings.
Research & Technical Analysis Monitor federal and Ohio legislation; perform authoritative research to resolve tax issues and draft memos as needed.
Engagement Management Scope budget and schedule multiple concurrent assignments; track WIP billings and realization targets.
Quality & Compliance Uphold GAAP/GAAS internal review checklists and peer-review standards; maintain secure client data practices.
Staff Development Coach juniors; review workpapers; lead internal CPE sessions and contribute to the firm s knowledge-share portal.
Process Improvement Recommend enhancements to workflow cloud technologies and client-portal tools that boost efficiency and service quality.
Active Ohio CPA license in good standing.
4 years of progressive public-accounting experience at an Ohio-based CPA firm (tax-heavy or blended tax/audit).
Demonstrated mastery of individual corporate partnership and fiduciary tax rules with hands-on Ohio CAT & municipal filing experience.
Proficiency with leading tax-prep platforms (UltraTax Drake ProSeries etc.) research tools (RIA Checkpoint CCH) and QuickBooks/Excel.
Strong command of engagement-management software paperless workflow and secure client portals.
Proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines analyze complex tax scenarios and communicate clearly with both clients and colleagues.
Commitment to ongoing CPE; keen interest in mentoring peers and driving client-service excellence.
Bachelor s degree in Accounting (or related field) required; Master of Tax or equivalent a plus.
