Job Description

Provides strategic leadership in the admissions process and management of admission advisors. Ensures compliance of application lifecycle of the prospective student throughout the completion of first session.
  • Ensures the highest ethical standards of the profession are upheld in the recruitment of students.
  • Provides overall direction and supervision of a staff with different job responsibilities and skill levels while demonstrating effective leadership in training motivating counseling and accountability.
  • Assists in hiring staff and training supervising and replacing staff as needed to ensure qualitative and quantitative objectives are achieved in the Admissions process
  • Ensures consistent operation of team of admissions advisors in accordance with all school policies and procedures all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements
  • Provides management accurate daily performance reports related to enrollment and future start populations
  • Performs adequate checks and balances in Admissions process to compliancy with the admissions process.
  • Ensures timely completion of employees performance reports.
  • Manages the performance of the staff of admissions advisors through various reports.
  • Enforces training and the regular and consistent use of:
    • Phone Scripts
    • Student Interviewing Questionnaire
    • Telephone Techniques
    • Product Knowledge
    • Internal and External Customer Relations Training
  • Manages to all of the schools policies procedures integrity and ethical standards
  • Build effective departmental relationships across the university.
  • Takes complete and final responsibility and accountability for assigned teams monthly goals
  • Assumes full responsibility for all student starts and retention with achievement or overachievement of budgeted starts.
  • Connects individual contributions with organizational and departmental goals to develop team commitment and motivate team members
  • Contributes to decisionmaking institutional effectiveness and strategic planning at the location
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word applications
  • Knowledgeable of all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements relating to admissions
  • Complete knowledge of admissions process
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Extraordinary telephone interpersonal communication skills oral and written interviewing and followup skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure and ability to interact with students and parents
  • Goal driven results oriented ability required
  • Must be available to work shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Providing timely constructive feedback which promotes problem solving and fosters mutual respect
  • Expanding capabilities by helping others work through challenges
  • Supporting employee morale by recognizing and reinforcing positive behaviors
  • Continuous and direct monitoring of advisors and being accountable for advisor behavior
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
  • 35 years of Admissions Experience
  • 3 years relationship/consultative sales/recruitment experience (admissions experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of the educational environment and the ability to interface with faculty and administration on all levels
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Masters degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
  • Proven administrative and leadership skills
