Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and resultsoriented Vice CTO to lead and manage the IT function for Post Office Savings Bank in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Banks IT operations including strategy planning implementation and maintenance. This role requires a strong technical background proven leadership skills and a deep understanding of the banking and finance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the IT strategy for Post Office Savings Bank aligning with the overall business objectives and industry trends.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across the Bank including the development and implementation of innovative digital products and services.
- Oversee the planning budgeting and resource allocation for all IT projects and initiatives.
Technology Management:
- Lead and manage the Banks IT infrastructure including hardware software networks and data centers.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data including the implementation and maintenance of robust cybersecurity measures.
- Manage the Banks core banking system payment gateways and transaction processing systems.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of all IT applications and systems.
Project Management:
- Manage largescale IT projects ensuring they are delivered on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Experience in managing IT projects with budgets exceeding INR Specify budget amount is preferred.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and industry standards including data privacy and security regulations.
- Identify and mitigate ITrelated risks.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
Business Analysis:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Identify opportunities for ITenabled process improvement and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in IT roles within the banking and finance industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position within the banking and finance industry.
- Proven experience in managing largescale IT projects preferably within a public sector f inancial institution.
- Handson experience with core banking systems payment gateways and transaction processing systems.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols and best practices. 6. Experience in digital transformation initiatives including the development and implementation of innovative digital products and services.
