Job Description

PROFILE INTRODUCTION:

Our client is a leading provider of innovative life and general insurance solutions in Kenya with an extensive branch network across the country. Listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange the company is part of a renowned financial services group with a strong presence across Africa. As part of its growth strategy the organization is looking for a dynamic People & Culture Manager to lead its human capital agenda and foster a highperformance inclusive and thriving workplace within the General Business. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives enhancing employee engagement and overseeing talent management employee relations HR compliance and organizational development to ensure an exceptional employee experience.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 1Strategic Leadership & Culture Development: Develop and implement a People & Culture strategy that aligns with business objectives and fosters a highperformance culture. Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team offering strategic counsel on all peoplerelated matters. Champion Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives ensuring a fair and inclusive workplace. Drive organizational change management fostering adaptability and alignment with company goals. Establish and monitor key HR metrics leveraging datadriven insights to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • 2Talent Management & Employee Engagement: Oversee talent acquisition processes ensuring efficient recruitment and seamless onboarding. Lead succession planning leadership development and career progression frameworks. Drive employee engagement initiatives including wellness programs teambuilding activities and recognition programs. Spearhead learning & development programs to enhance workforce capabilities and align with future business needs. Implement strategies to enhance employee retention and job satisfaction.
  • 3Employee Relations & HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and HR best practices. Manage employee relations fostering a workplace environment built on trust transparency and open communication. Oversee grievance handling dispute resolution and conflict management. Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated to reflect industry trends and legal requirements. Lead risk management initiatives to mitigate workplace disputes and compliance risks.
  • 4HR Operations & Technology: Optimize HR processes through automation and technology enhancing operational efficiency. Oversee HR systems (HRIS) and data analytics to inform workforce planning and decisionmaking. Manage the People & Culture budget ensuring costeffective HR initiatives. Monitor and analyze HR reports providing insights to leadership for continuous improvement. Stay abreast of emerging HR trends recommending innovative solutions to enhance people management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration Organizational Development or a related field. A Master s degree (MBA) is an added advantage.
  • CHRP (K) or equivalent certification. Membership in IHRM SHRM or a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a fastpaced organization.
  • Proven expertise in organizational culture talent management employee relations and strategic HR leadership.
  • Strong understanding of HR technology data analytics and digital transformation in HR functions.
