Job Description
This is a remote position.
Cost Estimation:
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for various projects ensuring all factors are considered.
Analyse project specifications blueprints and other documents to prepare thorough cost summaries.
Update and maintain cost databases and other reference materials.
Takeoff Drawings:
Perform precise quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings.
Identify and quantify all necessary materials labor and equipment needed for project completion.
Utilise specialised software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in takeoff processes.
Producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs):
Compile detailed BoQs that clearly outline all project requirements.
Ensure BoQs are comprehensive and align with project specifications and drawings.
Regularly update BoQs to reflect any changes or adjustments in project scope.
Reviewing Subcontractor Quotes:
Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors ensuring they are competitive and align with project
requirements.
Conduct thorough reviews of subcontractor bids for accuracy completeness and compliance with
project specifications.
Negotiate with subcontractors to achieve the best value and quality for the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes materials and costs.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong English Language Skills written and verbal
