Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering design and details and shall work in conjunction with Project Managers and other team members for successful completions of mechanical design and engineering from commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate shall have the following specific responsibilities:

• Perform analysis and calculations as required for sizing of mechanical equipment and pipping systems in accordance with the project requirements and all applicable codes and standards.
  
• Provide technical and design guidance to the designers in preparation of construction drawings (equipment layouts plans cross sections details flow diagrams P&IDs bills of material etc.).
  
• Assist Department Manager in preparation of procurement and construction specifications bid evaluation.
  
• Review project scope and vendor information and assist Department manager to establish design criteria and guidelines.
  
• Coordinate with other departments as required.
  
• Coordinate with vendors as required.
  
• Identify and resolve any potential conflicts problems changes or deviations in designs and engineering.
  
• Review monitor and approve the technical quality of the work performed in the department.
  
• Perform site visits as required.
  
• Review department design standards and assist Department Manager to ensure compliance within the department and updating them as required.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 510 years of experience in mechanical design engineering with emphasis on piping systems (water sanitary hydraulics lubrication gases steam etc.) and HVAC.
  
• Experience should include heavy industrial facilities.
  
• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  
• P.E. preferred.
  
• Experience with AutoCAD.
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
