We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backup Administrator to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data backup and recovery solutions as well as experience working with various backup technologies and platforms.
Responsibilities:
Design implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for clients data infrastructure.
Monitor backup systems to ensure data integrity availability and compliance with service level agreements.
Perform regular backups data replication and offsite storage procedures.
Troubleshoot backup failures and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
Develop and maintain backup policies procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify backup requirements and implement solutions to meet business needs.
Perform periodic backup system audits and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data backup and recovery.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Backup Administrator or in a similar role.
Proficiency in backup technologies such as Veeam Comm vault Veritas Net Backup or similar.
Experience with cloud backup solutions (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
Strong understanding of backup methodologies data duplication and encryption techniques.
Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
