The customers platform brings together the best in engineering scientific intelligence and data science to put the right tools into the hands of researchers to enable them to invent and commercialize ideas. The customer can extract and link data from multiple sources and make it available through their interface which is vital in making the best decisions.

Requirements

• Profound C/C software engineering skills
• Experience with recent standards (> C11) libraries (e.g. Boost) and tools (e.g. GDB or GNU compiler)
• Comfortable working on a legacy code base
• Willing to jump a high entrance hurdle
• Familiar with GitHub source control and Trunk based development
• Competency in Linux and scripting e.g. Bash

Nice to have

• Knowledge of fulltext retrieval/search
• Understanding of agile way of working (Jira Confluence)
• Experience with Perl
• Expertise in make/makefiles
• Proficiency in writing documentation

• Support a crucial and complex component of the product
• Consult with internal stakeholders to determine the scope of software development projects
• Collaborate with the software development team on application design and development
• Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures
• Optimize software by performing maintenance updates and upgrades
