India Program Manager remove

This role is a fulltime remote role based in India starting with a one year contract and an expected start date of end of August 2024.

About remove: remove is a nonprofit organisation with a mission to inspire and enable real world innovation and entrepreneurship in greenhouse gas removal through cultivating collaboration providing expertise and closing systemic gaps. remove has established the premier accelerator program and ecosystem focused solely on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) in Europe with over 120 startups supported to date and an engaged CDR community.

About the role: As the India Program Manager at remove you will be leading the expansion of our CDR accelerator program to India. You will work closely with the rest of the remove team to deliver a bespoke accelerator program to the most promising Indian CDR startups while also cultivating a CDR ecosystem around the Indian program. This is a unique opportunity to experience and shape an industry in its earliest days and a great fit for anyone comfortable with deep tech and experienced in program management and network building. In this position you will play a key role in building something from scratch that will support the growth and success of carbon removal startups in India.

Tasks

• Manage the endtoend execution of our accelerator program in India
• Lead our efforts to cultivate an Indian CDR ecosystem: You will work in collaboration with our Europe CDR Ecosystem lead by developing and engaging an online community for Indian startups on a daily basis and devising organising and running multiple inperson events per year
• Build and maintain a thriving network of hundreds of startups partners stakeholders and funders in spaces that would be relevant to CDR in India and be the goto person for this network.
• Stay on top of the latest developments and funding opportunities in the carbon removal space that would be relevant to the Indian ecosystem and constantly share and discuss your insights with our startups and the wider ecosystem
• Scout for and connect with the most innovative and exciting CDR startups in India
• Represent remove at conferences events and other relevant opportunities in India
• Collaborate with the remove team to provide Indian startups with relevant information networking opportunities and other forms of support
• Manage interactions with startups and partner teams in India directly and independently sharing feedback with the remove team and helping to resolve any issues efficiently
• Liaise between internal and external stakeholders at key milestones to deliver strong program outcomes
• Measure analyse and report on accelerator program impact outcomes while tracking our impact success metrics
• Nurture and maintain relationships with integrity and professionalism

Requirements

• Required: Ability to speak and write in English and Hindi fluently and idiomatically
• University degree (MSc. preferred) in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science engineering sustainability business administration)
• 5 years of experience in endtoend project management and partnership management ecosystem building or related roles in startups or VCs. Experience working with or within startups and comfortableness with deep tech is preferred.
• Good understanding of the carbon removal space and a strong passion for mitigating climate change
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with startups funders and partners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and persuade diverse groups in a crosscultural remote setting
• Track record of developing maintaining and inspiring (online) ecosystems or communities
• Entrepreneurial spirit drive and resourcefulness in conceptualising and executing programs
• Comfort manipulating sets of data and developing insights
• Ability to handle mid to senior level stakeholders and interfacing with partner teams independently
• Ability to quickly identify opportunities collaborate with multiple team members and influence decision makers
• Strong organisational and documentation skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage several work streams simultaneously
• Adaptability and curiosity in a dynamic environment
• A strong team player with a strong sense of empathy who enjoys collaborating asking for and providing help when necessary
• Willingness to travel locally or occasionally regionally/globally only if necessary
