Senior Machine Learning Engineer - ClimateTech start-up 🌍

💵 Salary: as the company are so early stage they are flexible and open to hearing from people, but approx. £100k + equity

📍 Location: the current team are distributed across Europe and they're open to this, but the UK is their first market so this is a slight preference but please apply even if you're outside of the UK

Company mission: The company use AI and machine learning to help mitigate climate change and revolutionise a historically expensive, drawn out, and manual process. The founders, who both had successful careers within the Big Five tech companies, have just secured substantial Series A investment and are ready to build 🎉

The team currently consists of the two founders, a Ruby on Rails consultant, a mid-level Ruby Engineer and an ML research scientist.

You'll join as the Senior Machine Learning Engineer with scope to lead a team or even become the CTO if this is a route you see for yourself 📈

They're looking for you to:

• Work closely with the ML data scientists; look at their Jupyter notebooks / Python code and set up ML infra to process data, train models, and deploy them in a production environment
• Be senior enough to become a team lead (or eventually a CTO)
• Drive much of the overall architecture work
• Know or be willing to learn enough Ruby on Rails so you can work well with their developer who is responsible for the SaaS platform
• Be involved in data engineering work
