Malander is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant for our client based in Midrand for a contract position. In addition to overseeing financial processes and ensuring compliance with regulations the Senior Accountant will play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards;
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections;
- Conduct financial analysis to assess performance profitability and financial health;
- Prepare variance analysis and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement;
- Maintain the general ledger reconcile accounts and implement accounting controls to safeguard company assets;
- Prepare and file tax returns stay updated on tax regulations and assist in tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities.
- BCom degree;
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting;
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite;
- Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
