Job Mission

We are looking for a creative individual with an ambitious and entrepreneurial attitude to join our team as our new PR manager for the German market. PR is a cornerstone of our marketing and growth team having established solid media relations already. However the energy industry is going through a radical change in which Tibber plays a key role. In order to embark on our growth and success journey your work revolves around identifying and telling stories that are compelling to our customers and other key stakeholders. To do this you are part of a dedicated team working closely with our Marketing Lead and our Managing Director as well as our agency partners to take Tibbers PR & communications in Germany to the next level.

This role is for you if you are able to take a holistic approach while still not being afraid of rolling up your sleeves driving strategy from ideation to execution taking responsibility for every last detail giving Tibber a unique voice as an active player of the energy industry and an advocate for consumer empowerment.

Creating a PR Strategy: Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer and agency partners to develop innovative PR strategies.

Execution: Drive the execution of PR strategies focusing on expanding our thought leadership position and communicating on important topics.

Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with German media outlets.

Content Management: Work closely with the Storyteller to curate and manage Tibbers media channels.

Media Monitoring: Monitor media platforms and respond to emerging discussions.

Reporting: Provide regular reports on PR results to the Chief Marketing Officer.


Ideal Profile

Strategic Thinker: A PR expert with strategic thinking capabilities and a minimum of 3 years of experience in agency or inhouse roles.

Creative Solution Seeker: You know how to creatively find workarounds to communication challenges if there is no direct path e.g. through data stories or visual storytelling.

Media Connections: Possess good connections with German media outlets.

HandsOn Attitude: Willingness to dive into the details and get hands dirty when necessary. And being able to react fast.

Operational and Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Thought Leader Positioning: Capable of positioning Tibber and our respective spokespersons strategically in the market.

Event Preparation: Experience in preparing panels and events. And having fun in creating bold statements as well as fun presentations.

Big Picture Focus: Ability to see the big picture while ensuring activities contribute to the companys ROI.

Political interest: The field of energy can be highly political as we have seen in the past years. Following political discussion with a fresh eye on renewable production prosumer laws and more are of relevance.

Open mindset and good listener: PR stories are sometimes hidden inside of the company. Keep on searching and engage with the team and you will find diamonds.

Willingness to travel: Sometimes our job needs some flexibility to travel. It doesnt happen too often but once per quarter.

Agile working: Ability to stay focused in a very agile working environment and set the right priorities for PR and comms.

Issue management: Ability to discover issues that may require media handling proactively or reactively and plan and execute accordingly. Position Tibber as a responsible company through excellent issue management.
