My Client a leading multinational distributor of chemicals across emerging markets is seeking a dynamic & experienced commercial manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing their chemical market and growing a portfolio of profitable customers & transactions through the creation of strong relationships with trustworthy customers.

He/She will also take the responsibility to set up and pursue the (trading) market development strategy for Nigeria. Other key responsibilities include:
  • Develop & implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and expand the companys commercial activities in the industry with a focus on forex implications.
  • Provide commercial input into business reviews and potential opportunities.
  • Conduct market & sales analysis to identify potential clients market trends and competitor activities.
  • Provide accurate report on commercial performance including sales forecasts market analysis and revenue projections.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations trade policies and compliance requirements related to forex transactions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics preparing reports for management review.
  • Help in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients ensuring favorable terms and conditions.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Economics or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
  • Have vast knowledge of business development strategies.
  • 7 years experience in business development sales or commercial management.
  • Ability to develop and execute successful commercial/sales strategies driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Understanding the complexity of a commercial role in Nigeria (such as forex).
  • Able to build relationships and dealing with various types of people & cultures.
  • Commercial prospecting and strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS office suite and commercial/sales software applications
