Our client a dynamic new casual dining and takeaway restaurant with an Asian and Japanese menu is seeking two experienced Chinese Wok Chefs for their Berlin location. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of Chinese culinary techniques particularly in wok cooking and the ability to work across diverse Asian cuisines.
Responsibilities:
Masterfully prepare a variety of Chinese dishes using a wok adhering to traditional techniques and the restaurants unique recipes.
Contribute to the menus diversity offering traditional Chinese favorites and innovative Asian fusion dishes.
Ensure ingredient freshness and uphold the restaurants high standards for food safety and hygiene.
Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and develop new menu items.
Efficiently manage inventory and supplies minimizing waste.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in Chinese cuisine with a strong foundation in wok cooking techniques and knowledge of Asian ingredients.
Proficiency in preparing a wide range of dishes using a wok managing inventory and ensuring all ingredients meet quality standards.
Skilled in accurately costing menu items to align with financial targets.
Previous experience in a similar role within a fastpaced restaurant environment.
Basic English skills for reading and communication with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Familiarity with standard culinary measurements volumes and procedures.
Responsibility for maintaining kitchen operations to meet quality standards including ordering supplies from vendors.
A positive and professional demeanor towards colleagues and guests is essential.
