Job Description

The Commis plays a vital role in the culinary team responsible for assisting in food preparation cooking and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. This position supports the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering highquality dishes adhering to food safety standards and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Assist in food preparation including cutting chopping and peeling ingredients.

Execute cooking tasks under the guidance of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation including equipment and workstations.

Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper food storage practices.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Communicate effectively within the kitchen team to coordinate tasks.

Support the maintenance of inventory and report shortages as needed.

Contribute to food presentation and portion control.

Always comply with safety and hygiene standards.



Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Culinary school diploma or relevant culinary training is a plus.

Prior experience as a kitchen helper or equivalent culinary role is beneficial.

Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.


Job Specific Skills:

Basic culinary skills and techniques.

Food preparation and cooking.

Attention to cleanliness and organization.

Ability to work in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
