Looking for a parttime mechanic who will be challenged gas and diesel engines electrical systems engines with emission control systems and preventative maintenance. Our technicians may sometimes be required to repair our vehicles on roadsides or at worksites. Qualified candidate will have the knowledge of how to inspect brake systems transmissions engines steering mechanisms and other vehicle parts. You must know how to read and interpret diagnostic test results to identify mechanical or electrical equipment. This fast position requires extreme attention to detail and able to wear many hats through the day. We provide training.
OUR FLEET INCLUDES:
- Trucks
- Trailers
- Forklifts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify problems with mechanical diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
- Must have knowledge of record keeping and ordering parts & supplies
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment following all safety procedures
- Fleet daily troubleshoot repair & general maintenance.
- California 90 day BIT & Federal USDOT inspections
- OnSite repairs Travel to location and travel to get parts needed for repairs
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Proficiency in hydraulic diagnosis & electronic diagnosis troubleshooting and reading diagrams
- Valid Driver s License with a clean record
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision and as a team
- Strong research skills and the ability to figure out unconventional problems
- Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred
- Be available weekends
- Occasional weekends
Work Schedule:
Monday Friday 6 am 12 pm
30 hours per week
