Role and Responsibilities:
The HR Manager at a hotel plays a pivotal role in managing the entire recruitment process for nonexempt positions. This includes coordinating interview schedules updating candidates on their application status drafting offer letters and maintaining recruitment status reports. They are also responsible for handling Workers Compensation Workplace Safety & Health procedures responding to EEO complaints union relations grievances and maintaining recordkeeping requirements. Additionally the HR Manager assists in handling employee situations ensuring the quality and consistency of performance appraisals fostering a positive work environment coordinating wage and performance review activities informing employees of benefits and hotel policies conducting training sessions administering special employee promotions and maintaining a safe and secure environment. The HR Manager at A2Z Jobs Consultancy is expected to provide the WOW experience through genuine hospitality maximize employee engagement resolve employee problems with empathy and project a favourable image of the hotel to the public.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of progressive human resources experience preferably a Bachelors degree with a certificate in a related field prior work experience in a union environment including negotiation and local and regional rules. They should be adept at collaborating effectively with other hotel employees and managers and resolving conflicts with supervisors and employees.
