Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Participate and implement test processes test strategies and approaches based on development methodology for medium complexity test requirements.
• Resolve issues and dependencies in the team and mentor the team.
• Share best practices on automation testing with the team and encourage incorporation for delivery excellence.

• Strategize conversion of business requirements to test scenarios.
• Guide teams to create complex integration and end to end scenarios with test data variations.
• Analyze the requirements and create the plan for test execution.
• Place good test preparation & scripting techniques to create test cases & scripts.
• Review the automation testing scripts & test cases.
• Ensure delivery of test execution results as per test cycle defined timelines.
• Collect relevant metrics and do proper reporting for test execution.
• Create and ensure the adherence of defect SLAs and follow ups for closure.
• Actively participate in defect triage meetings and update defect details as per meeting outcomes.
• Create testing reports such as defect analysis reports identifying the area that has the most number of defects & reports showing defect closure rates.
• Create and articulate the defect lifecycle process for different types of projects.
• Fetch reports from the defect logging and tracking tools e.g. Jira.
• Analyze the defect report and give suggestions about decreasing the defect counts.

• Create a framework for different automation tools and for different projects if required.
• Explain automation topics and approaches to peers and work independently.

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Have knowledge in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Excellent scripting experience Python & Java.
• Have knowledge on Testing tools like Selenium Katalon Karate etc.
• Having knowledge of defect management tools like Jira.
• B.Tech/B.E required
