We are looking for an Accounting Senior to join our clients team. Your role will in time develop to the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards as well as the preparation and review of tax computations. This position provides an excellent personal development opportunity as well as career prospects for the job holder. The successful candidate will form part of the firm s outsourcing team and will report to the Partner/s and/or the Outsourcing management team.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is one of the leading multi-disciplinary audit, accounting, tax, and advisory firms and is located in Birkirkara.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out bookkeeping and preparing periodic management accounts.
  • Preparation of VAT Returns and Recap Statements.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports.
  • Review of work done by Accounting Assistants, including VAT Returns and Management Accounts.
  • Providing guidance and feedback to Accounting Assistants.
  • Preparation of closing off workings for Audit.
  • Actively manage the client relationship.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of three years of work experience in an accounting role.
  • Applicants in the final stages of qualifying may be considered.
  • You are knowledgeable and have work experience dealing with understanding and application of multi-currency accounting.
  • You are knowledgeable and have work experience dealing with understanding of bonds and debt valuations.
  • You have a very good working knowledge of MS Excel, especially formulae and pivot tables.
  • You are a team player, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • You possess multi-tasking and analytical skills as well as an eye for detail.
  • You are able to deliver tasks effectively in a timely manner and are used to working to some very strict deadlines.
  • You possess excellent inter and intrapersonal skills.
  • You are able to manage tasks and people.
  • You are computer literate.
  • You are able to work under pressure.

EDUCATION

You are a fully qualified professional in ACCA or ACA or Accountancy degree.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary.
  • Flexibility in starting time, from 07:00 till 09:30, 40 hours per week with 60 minutes break.
  • ACCA study leave (5+1).
  • Increase in salary after a successful ACCA pass.

ABOUT IRIS THAUMAS
