About the job
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate candidate to be part of Zain's Finance Department to perform customs clearance activities and ensuring conformity of shipments to ordered items and to customs regulations as well as preparing all required documents to different governmental entities responsible for the admission of the shipment in addition to following up on shipments and ensuring proper and timely delivery.
Main Responsibilities, will include but will not be limited to: - Examining invoices and shipping documents to ensure adherence to customs’ regulations as well as supervising the preliminary examination of shipments within the customs clearance agency and providing customs officials with technical details of shipments.
- Coordinating with concerned governmental parties and providing documents or any other related requirements in order to finalize customs clearance.
- Providing related reports on customs clearance section's activities and maintaining the customs database for all customs clearance transactions for external and internal audits
- Communicating with concerned departments to ensure conformity of shipments with the required items as well as providing necessary information and guidance to them and ensuring compliance with import and export laws.
- Requesting security clearances and approvals to receive the shipments and completing the handover procedures of incoming shipments after release from customs to the designated warehouses.
- Assisting with establishing, maintaining, and monitoring compliance procedures as well as participating in the development of the customs clearance section to improve its efficiency.
