Prime Response Inc. is seeking a Munitions Technician to support Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.


JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs the duties of the Munitions Section Technician and works under general supervision of the Munitions Site Supervisor. This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g. inventory management storage management cataloging and prope1ty utilization) related to depot local or other supply activities.

Receives stores warehouses handles breaks out inspects ships inventories transp01ts disposes locally and processes transactions in TICMS for conventional munitions containers dispensers and training items and coordinates off base movements with Transpo1tation Management Flight.

Performs surveillance inspection duties IAW TO 11A110 on all munitions stock issued and returned custody munitions and inspects and certifies munitions residue and MPPEH turnedin to the stock record account to determine serviceability potential hazards and accountability.

Under direction of the MASO implements management controls for munitions assets records munitions transactions and manages allocations stock levels inventories requisition and disposition of munitions. Maintains and validates accountable and auditable records.

Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems programs policies nomenclature work methods manuals or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved to collect the necessary data to establish the facts and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.


Perform other duties as required. May be assigned to support contract suppo1t requirements in jobrelated areas such as environmental safety and security. Position will require surge from time to time to the Munitions Storage Area to handle ammunition and explosives (A&E). In addition to the broad scope of complexity which is aligned to quality control data line content and posting of all transactional data being conducted on a normal day must be able to utilize multifaceted information systems in compliance to various defined procedures. Technical knowledge includes but is not limited to quality control procedures DOD/Army/Navy/Air Force regulations/process requirements standard operation procedures manpower utilization time management logistics) safety and physical security.


Contractor personnel are required to have and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Position involves working primarily in an indoor environment and additionally surge to outdoor environment which will occur as directed and will include periodic overtime exposure to heat dust cold and inclement weather conditions and may require the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in performing various warehousing functions and obtain operators qualification. Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 lbs. pushing pulling carrying stooping bending squatting climbing and reaching. Will be required to handle hazardous material and use of related personal protective equipment. Must be able to obtain a Government flight line drivers license.


Preferred: High school diploma and 4 years of applicable A&E experience. Working knowledge of Windows and Level I (basic) proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Microsoft word Excel Outlook PowerPoint etc.).
