Seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for leading global provider of distributed and specialty electronics component s for the military space medical and industrial industries.

The ideal candidate has 5 years experience in Accounts Payable within a manufacturing environment. You are a team player who can multitask effectively in a fastpaced lean environment while maintaining quality standards. Ideally you have sufficient experience on working with highvolume transactions numerous customers and multiple companies/databases.

What you will do:

This position will be responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate integration of the accounts payable function and processes from the individual business units to Corporate. The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Specialist is the accurate and timely data entry and payment of vendor invoices and reconciling the various payable ledger accounts.

  • Compile sort date and code invoices and packing slips substantiating business transactions
  • Perform the threeway match
  • Research and resolve A/P issues and/or problems as they arise working with the vendor and/or appropriate internal personnel at the various divisions
  • Accurately review code and process vendor invoices sending invoices out to appropriate individuals for approval where required
  • Ensure timely efficient and accurate payment of vendor invoices in accordance with department procedures and within terms
  • Initiate monthend accruals where required
  • Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
  • Audit process and reconcile credit card bills
  • Provide weekly estimate of vendor payments and support Division Controllers in preparation cash forecast. Confirm intercompany balances during monthend
  • Generate cash requirement reports for review
  • Print vouchers and issue checks for signature and mailing
  • Produce and file 1099 s annually


Requirements


  • Bachelors or Associates degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems. Expandable a plus.
  • Working in a shared service model is preferred.
  • U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident.
