The Launch Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful introduction of electronic components and systems into the automotive market specifically for premium clients such as VW AUDI Daimler GM and Ford This position requires a combination of engineering expertise project management skills and the ability to work under pressure to guarantee the flawless execution of simultaneous product launches


  • Project Planning and Management
    Develop and manage detailed project plans for multiple product launches adhering to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and core tools methodologies
    Coordinate crossfunctional teams including engineering manufacturing quality assurance and supply chain to meet project timelines
    Ensure that all project milestones and deliverables are met and identify and mitigate risks throughout the launch process
  • Technical Expertise
    Apply engineering knowledge and experience to understand product specifications manufacturing processes and quality standards
    Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure products meet the rigorous standards of premium automotive clients
  • APQP and Core Tools Compliance
    Implement APQP and core tools (such as FMEA PPAP and Control Plans) to maintain the highest levels of product quality and reliability
    Lead the development and documentation of product and process controls to meet customer requirements
  • Customer Relationship Management
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with premium automotive clients (VW AUDI Daimler GM and Ford)
    Act as the primary point of contact for client communication addressing concerns and providing updates on project progress
  • Supplier Coordination
    Collaborate with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery of components and materials while maintaining quality standards
    Work closely with suppliers to resolve any production or quality issues that may arise during the launch phase
  • Cost Management
    Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure cost control and adherence to financial targets
  • Continuous Improvement
    Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives integrating them into future product launches
    Conduct postlaunch evaluations and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement




Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in project management and launch management within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and core quality tools (FMEA PPAP Control Plans)
  • Familiarity with premium automotive clients such as VW AUDI Daimler GM and Ford preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications

Working Conditions

  • This role may require travel to client sites supplier locations and manufacturing facilities
  • Flexible work hours to accommodate different time zones and project demands
  • The position may involve occasional extended work hours during critical project phases
