IIQAF is looking for a talented and motivated Actuary to join our team. As an Actuary, youll use advanced quantitative analysis techniques to model and assess insurance risk and drive innovation to ensure our success.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting
Analyze large data sets to identify trends and anticipate potential outcomes
Utilize quantitative methods to calculate capital requirements and monitor asset quality
Prepare reports that explain actuarial methodology and current market trends
Keep up to date on current relevant regulations and ensure compliance
Provide consultation on risk transfer and reinsurance opportunities
Utilize Monte Carlo simulations and other statistical techniques to determine financial risk
Collaborate closely with colleagues in data science and analytics
Bachelor s degree (or higher) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another highly quantitative field
At least 5 years of professional experience working with actuarial data and analytics
Certified Actuary (FSA or equivalent) or studying for actuarial credentials
Expertise in actuarial modeling software such as Polysystems, MoSes, AXIS, and R/Python
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
