Will be focused on their Commissions platform which currently runs on Oracle 11. Due to this, these are all NON NEGOTIABLES - must have the following:

1. 10+ years of experience working on Oracle 11g. This is what their current commissions platform is running on & what these developers will be working on on a daily basis. They will be taking existing Oracle forms and making them so they work with a new branch off. Taking forms, duplicating them, adding in some information to make them.
2. Oracle Forms: heavy duty from the ground up. Need to take and build new forms from the ground up with all the triggers with everything in it - data sheets & anything else. They need to be able to tweak existing forms to handle new information.
3. Perl: need good amount of experience, strong with Perl. Be able to do cornshell on programming on either AIX or Linux. It can be a few years since they've touched it but need to be comfortable with it. Perl is a piece they support currently and piece they'll support when migrated to Oracle 19.

Work Environment

100% remote! Nice if they sit in Austin, CLT/Fort Mill, or San Diego so they can visit the hubs. Smaller team, will be working with 8 - 9 other developers and 2 quality engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

-Java 8: with Oracle 10 - they built web logic & java into the platform. Hiring manager is unsure if Java is built into Oracle 12. But currently web logic and java 8 are heavily into the mix for Oracle 11g and Oracle Forms 10. Won't be as hard on the java piece.
-Pl Sql: will be using in the Oracle platform
-Web Logic: if there's any bugs - need to understand how to go in and go through the web logic piece to figure out what's blowing up and then meet with the middleware people.
-Oracle 12 / 19 would be a very large nice to have as they'll be migrating to Oracle 19 next year so will be able to push them into the migration

Interview Information

30 minute meet & greet then one 30 minute technical panel interview with Tech Lead, VP, and 2 others depending on availability. Some areas of focus from previous interviews:

-Forms, triggers
-Weblogic, enterprise manager
-Performance tuning in a pl/sql job
-How to deploy a war file in weblogic
-Oracle Reports in weblogic
-Use of a LOV in Forms
-How to implement dynamic sql in forms

Business Challenge

Having to onboard some new customers from M&A deals so need more Oracle Developers to maintain the current commissions platform (running on Oracle 11). Need to get these developers set up so the commissions maintenance space can really be functional.
