Job Description

Our client is a premier resort-style senior living community based in Fairfield County. Company is hiring for an Accounting Manager to oversee day to day accounting function. Position would report to the Controller and manage a team of two. This is a fulltime, office position. Salary DOE 105-120k.

Position Summary
  • Manage the accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts and financial assets.
  • Monitor and manage CAPEX.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintaining the general ledger system.
  • Prepare annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Monitorrevenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing special reports.
  • Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
  • Assist the company’s financial audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Property, real estate, elder care, hopsitality industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations.
  • Experience in working with accounting software and databases.
  • Supervisory experience requried
