Java Developer

The client is looking for a full time Java developer to develop Java web applications and web services. This position will work with a team of application developers and engineers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

This position will work on the creation of new applications and the replacement of legacy applications with modern web frameworks running in Amazon Web Services as secure serverless/SPA applications. The applications service both the public and internal use. Strong experience with Java web development using Single Page Applications (SPAs) required.

Additionally, this project will use java web frameworks, preference given to React. External users and systems will authenticate using standards such as OATH2 or OpenAM. The web applications and APIs use Oracle to store and query data. This position will also update existing Java web applications to maintain current functionality and provide new enhancements per user requirements. Work towards continuous integration/delivery pipelines in Amazon Web Services.

Additionally, appropriate data security standards must be met, and approved data encryption techniques will be used.

100% remote - Candidate will work remotely and must be able to work independently and manage time effectively with the option to come onsite as needed. Training may be provided if project requirements dictate.

Preferred/required skills:

5+ years development experience with Java REST web services and APIs

3+ years with Javascript, Java web application UI development (preference with React).

2+ experience designing SQL schemas, queries, Procedures/Functions (preference with Oracle)
