Position Summary:
Creative currently seeks to hire a Reporting and Communications Manager to design,
develop, and facilitate effective communication between and among project, donor and its partners. They will also compile and finalize reports and format content and write and distribute content to promote project stories and activities.
Location
Berlin, Germany or remotely-based.
Reporting Line and Responsibility
The Reporting and Communications Manager reports to the Chief of Party, (COP) and will be supporting two State Department- funded programs . Supervision of staff will not be required.
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not
limited to:
Disseminating key messages, project accomplishments, and other information through print and other media.
Lead the writing of the project s periodic and annual reports for submission to State Department; coordinate on, consolidate, and ensure coherence of inputs from all departments; and ensure high quality of reporting and timely submission to State Department.
Coordinate closely with the Programs teams, M&E teams to capture and synthesize information, in order to write and produce well-informed communication deliverables
Deliverables include but not limited to: quarterlies, success stories, program updates, highlight reports, and copy editing as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A Bachelor s degree (or equivalent 4 years of relevant experience) in mass communications, development communication, or related field. Bachelor s degree required.
Must have 6+ years of general work experience and 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in USG-funded projects.
Outstanding and effective oral communication and writing skills in English.
Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Photoshop and other desktop publishing software
Experience in web development and/or management an advantage
Copy editing skills required.
Keen attention to and a good grasp of development trends and issues
Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with teams
Excellent people skills at all levels, cultural sensitivity, ability to work well under pressure, negotiate diplomatically, and the ability to work well in a multicultural and multidisciplinary work environment
Arabic proficiency is desired.
