In a nutshell

Recruiting is a core strategic driver of our success. You will be responsible for hiring the top talent within your region (Berlin, Hamburg, or Frankfurt). You will also be a business partner for the team lead of the team(s) you recruit for and will identify their needs before they are able to spot them themselves!

You will take ownership of building a new team from the ground up. You will define the hiring targets and will be responsible for ensuring your team achieves them. You will be encouraged to use your creativity to improve our recruitment processes and our visibility. It s a role with plenty of variety and your tasks might include organizing events, shooting promo videos, developing traineeships, organizing workshops for employees, and more!

As part of the People team, you will regularly join forces with the central recruitment team sitting in the D sseldorf and Amsterdam offices. You from time to time also will spend a few days in our German headquarter in D sseldorf, approximately 1 day per week at a Fulfilment Centre, and you can work from home.

What you ll do

• Build a new team from the ground up and be responsible for your team hitting its targets
• Find and hire many exceptional candidates in a short time, and lead them through the whole application process
• Bring an ultra-sharp assessment of the skills, performance, and cultural fit of candidates
• Build a robust pipeline of top candidates for immediate or future on-boarding
• Combine your recruitment expertise and knowledge of your region to develop innovative strategies to find new talent
• Think outside the box; what can we do that no one else does?

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in human resource management or psychology
• 2-3 + years of relevant work experience in recruitment or another HR environment
• Fluency in English and German
• Willingness to travel to different Picnic locations in Germany on a regular basis, most of them in the NRW region
• You feel at ease quickly in many types of environments, whether it's the shop floor, the Hub or the office
• Great communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening)
• You are proactive and do not fear the unknown
• Flexibility to work with a variety of people
