RoleOverview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead a team within the Supply Chain Management & Automation (SCMA) organization the group building the automated systems behind Coupangs procurement and inventory operations.

SCMApowerscriticalsupplychaindecisionssuchaswhattoorderhowmuchtoorderandwhentoprocureoperatingatmassivescaleacrossmillionsofSKUsandthousandsofsuppliers.

In this role you will lead a lean high-impact team developing distributed systems that drive the end-to-end ordering lifecycle from demand forecasting and inventory planning to supplier integration and execution.

You will own both technical direction and delivery driving complex initiatives in a fast-paced large-scale environment.

• Partnerwithproductandbusinessteamstotranslatecomplexsupplychainrequirementsintoscalabletechnicalsolutions.
• Guidethedevelopmentofdistributedhigh-scalesystemsprocessinginventorysupplieranddemanddatadrivingdesigndecisionsacrossmicroservicesandevent-drivenarchitectures.
• Ensureengineeringexcellencebymaintaininghighstandardsincodequalitysystemreliabilityoperationalreadinesswhilementoringengineersandcontributinghands-ontocriticalchallenges.

BasicQualifications:

• 1013yearsofsoftwareengineeringexperiencewith3yearsinengineeringmanagement
• Stronghands-onexperienceinJava-basedbackenddevelopmentandbuildingmicroservicesindistributedsystems
• Provenexperiencedesigningandoperatinglarge-scaledata-intensivesystemsinvolvingbatchandstreamprocessing()
• Deepunderstandingofsystemdesignfundamentalsincludingscalabilityfaulttolerancedataconsistencyandperformanceoptimization
• Experiencebuildingsystemsthatoperateonhigh-volumedatasets(millionsofSKUstransactionsorentities)andinvolvecomplexbusinessordecisionlogic
• Familiaritywithmoderndataecosystemsincludingdatawarehousesrelational/NoSQLdatabasesandcachinglayers()
• Abilitytodriveend-to-endtechnicalexecutionbreakingdowncomplexsupplychainorplatformproblemsintoscalabledesignswhilestayinghands-onincriticalareas
