Principal Product Development Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is responsible for the design development qualification and release of new Power MOSFET products. This role will be carried out either as a leader or member of a cross functional team or as an individual ensuring that new products are released to customer / market requirements and to appropriate quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead project teams on activities towards the release of new product families complex products or technology platforms to timelines defined within project plans.
• Ensure that new product releases meet manufacturability reliability customer and market requirements in collaboration with product marketing process development assembly and industrial functions
• Assist the Product groups by providing technical support with respect to specification and justification of new product developments answering specific customer technical enquiries and complaints
• Provide project management and/or technical expertise for the team as consultant across one or many project(s)
• Develop appropriate levels of knowledge in associated areas of product development work namely the product release process systems project management product specification simulation and design.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Experience required: Bachelors Masters or PhD in Electronics Electrical Engineering Physics or similar.
• 8 years experience in semiconductors or related field
