We are looking for a Deputy Manager - ECU Design & Development to lead end-to-end project development of ECUs for passenger and commercial vehicles coordinating with Japan headquarters lead customers manufacturing plants and suppliers on design and development activities. Mandatory Requirements: - 9-12 years of experience in automotive ECU / electronics hardware design and development - in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering - Project management and best-practice knowledge of electronic circuits (hardware) components and compatibility with interface parts/signal specifications - Circuit analysis and troubleshooting capability - Ability to follow design procedures: RFQ study/analysis/design proposal DFMEA design validation and formal design release - Test equipment handling experience (Oscilloscope signal generator CANoe) - Hands-on experience with vehicle-level validation for ECUs and analysis - Basic knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine working and controls - Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage difficult situations - Polite proactive never-give-up attitude with ownership to lead - Flexible for travel and managing own schedule; ability to work across Indian Japanese and other cultures and age groups - Willingness for long-term / stable employment Preferred Requirements: - Good knowledge of design validation (reliability and environment test) - Experience in the automotive industry specifically for ECU - Understanding of software and system design basics Key Responsibilities: - Lead & manage end-to-end project development of various ECUs for passenger car & commercial vehicle coordinating with Japan headquarters lead customer manufacturing plant & suppliers on design & development activities. - Conduct requirement study/analysis and design proposals for internal and customer needs; confirm standard hardware design/circuits against new requirements for ECUs. - Provide technical support & schedule coordination to internal divisions and customers (OEMs). - Evaluate product on vehicle rig bench and simulator. - Support design quality issues to manufacturing plant trial part making and testing. - Guide and develop subordinates.
