Job Title : Database Automation Engineer

Experience : 11 to 14 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design develop and automate database platform build administration and management activities.
  
• Automate database/OS upgrades security patching failover and failback processes.
  
• Automate database user security audit and compliance management.
  
• Customize database vendor products to align with enterprise requirements.
  
• Automate and maintain CMDB property management and compliance data collection.
  
• Enhance and maintain database management tools self-service portals and microservice API platforms.
  
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Agile-based automation initiatives.
  
• Collaborate with production support teams to implement automation solutions.
  
• Troubleshoot production automation failures and implement fixes.
  
• Manage database infrastructure lifecycle and vulnerability remediation.
  
• Support global teams and provide weekend support when required.

• Expert-level experience in Ansible including Playbooks Roles Plugins Templates and Ansible Tower.
  
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python PowerShell and Shell scripting.
  
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI Flask Gunicorn and Git.
  
• Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD; Jenkins is an added advantage.
  
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  
• Hands-on DBA knowledge of MS SQL Server MySQL and Oracle.
  
• Exposure to MongoDB AWS RDS and Aurora is an added advantage.
  
• Strong Linux experience preferably Red Hat Linux.
  
• Knowledge of VMware and Red Hat OpenShift.
  
• Experience in large-scale IT infrastructure and database automation.
  
• Knowledge of ITIL Incident Management and Change Management preferably with ServiceNow.
  
• Experience with JIRA Kanban and project management boards.
  
• Knowledge of Jenkins GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
  
• Exposure to Power BI/Grafana and enterprise job scheduling tools such as Autosys is an advantage.
  
• Strong analytical troubleshooting communication and presentation skills.
