Job Summary
Position Title: Demand & Inventory Analyst
Reporting to: Sr. Manager Demand Planning
Department: SCM
Location: Nerul Navi Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales forecast trends and customer demand patterns.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly demand forecasts in coordination with Sales and Business teams.
- Monitor inventory levels of RM PM FG and Trading items to ensure optimum stock availability.
- Track slow-moving non-moving and excess inventory and recommend liquidation or optimization actions.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Production teams for material planning and replenishment.
- Review safety stock levels and suggest revisions based on consumption trends and lead times.
- Prepare MIS reports related to inventory forecast accuracy stock coverage and consumption trends.
- Identify gaps in planning and recommend process improvements.
- Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) activities.
- Monitor inventory ageing and working capital impact.
- Maintain accurate master data in ERP/SAP systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product implementation and phase-in/phase-out planning.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of demand planning and inventory management concepts.
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques and inventory control.
- Proficiency in Excel Power BI and ERP/SAP systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
Educational Qualification
- Qualification: BE/Btech/MBA
Experience
- Exp: 4-6 Years in Planning weightage to be given for Demand Planning Exp & analytical skill sets.
