SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

Established in 2000 the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) offering full-time Associate Degree (AD) Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE) one of the seven Faculties/Schools of currently enrolls over 3500 students and is committed to the Universitys mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. Applications are now invited for the following position:

Student Development Assistant ()

The appointee will provide administrative support to the Guidance Counsellors and Administration teams at the Shek Mun Campus Student Development Centre (SDC); deliver on-site logistics for student activities and events including setup and dismantling registration and venue coordination; drive student participation through targeted outreach and follow-up; support the collection verification and tracking of data related to activities and services; and plan create and publish content across SDC social media channels.

Requirements:

• A recognised bachelors degree is required;
• Relevant experience is preferred;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Outgoing proactive detail-minded and independent personality with strong sense of responsibility;
• Proficiency in computer applications. Skills and experience in graphic design video production and website management are preferred; and
• Fresh graduates and candidates with less experience but with a strong portfolio are also welcome to apply.

The appointee will be required to serve on the Shek Mun campus in Shatin.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
