About the Role

As a Site Design Manager (Contract) you will be overseeing all interior fit-out aspects of project delivery including coordinating with stakeholders reviewing contractor submissions and monitoring progressqualityand budget to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• AssistProject /Construction Manager to drive processes throughout construction to completion in fit-out related areas according to tenderscompliancesand regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including end users consultants government authorities contractorssuppliersand corporateofficeon all fit-out matters.
• Review contractors interior fit-out submissions and proposals with input from design consultants and corporateoffice andmanage fit-out coordination issues relating to MEP structural and architectural works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure fit-out works adhere to approved drawings specifications qualitystandardsand project timelines.
• Monitor progressbudgetsand quality of fit-out works including handling site instructions andvariationmatters according to standard procedures.
• Manageprojectclose out including snagging testing handover process and ensuring full set of as-built drawings O&M manuals and warranty documentation are in place and handed over to end users.
• SupportProject /Construction Manager on project administrationdocumentationand reportingin accordance withDepartment and Corporate requirements.

About You

• Degree inInterior Design BuildingServices ConstructionManagementor relateddiscipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing large-scale interior fit-out projects preferably inHotelor high-end commercial projects in Hong Kong.
• Experience in fit-out works in existing buildings phased renovation projects in operating businessenvironmentsand coordination with frontline operations.
• Familiar with local building regulations Hotel licensingrequirementsand Standard Form of Contract with solid understanding of local construction practices and site coordination.
• Familiar with Shangri-La Group project development standards reporting structures and operational requirements would be a distinct advantage.
• Strong knowledge in interior detailing finishes materials qualitycontroland coordination across architecturalMEPand structural interfaces.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office MicrosoftProjectand AutoCAD (for reviewing drawings) withgoodunderstanding of time and cost control handlingvariationsand contractor coordination.
• Strongleadershipinterpersonalproblem-solvingskills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Design Manager.
